New Orleans Saints (2-1 overall, 0-0 division)
-Last week: 33-27 win over the Seattle Seahawks
-This week: 7:20 pm/cst on Sunday vs Dallas Cowboys (3-0)
-Notes: It was a complete team performance for the Saints, scoring touchdowns on offense, defense, and special teams. Alvin Kamara carried the offense, while Teddy Bridgewater played well in his first meaningful start since 2015.
Atlanta Falcons (1-2 overall, 0-0 division)
-Last week: 27-24 loss to the Indianapolis Colts
-This week: 12:00 pm/cst on Sunday vs Tennessee Titans (1-2)
-Notes: The loss to the Colts wasn’t the only hit that the Falcons took. Their Pro-Bowl safety Keanu Neal was placed on injured-reserve today after tearing his Achilles tendon on Sunday. Pass rusher Tak McKinley also left their game with a leg injury, but it is unclear what the severity is right now.
Carolina Panthers (1-2 overall, 0-1 division)
-Last week: 38-20 win over the Arizona Cardinals
-This week: 12:00 pm/cst on Sunday at Houston Texans (2-1)
-Notes: With Cam Newton out with a foot injury, Kyle Allen made his first start of the season and threw for 4 touchdowns in their win. It has already been confirmed that Allen will start, once again, in Week 4. Reports came out yesterday that Newton may be dealing with a Lisfranc injury that could sideline him for an extended period of time.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-2 overall, 1-0 division)
-Last week: 32-31 loss to the New York Giants
-This week: 3:05 pm/cst on Sunday at Los Angeles Rams (3-0)
-Notes: It was a day to forget for the Buccaneers, blowing a 28-10 halftime lead at home to the Giants. Kicker Matt Gay made 4 field goals, but missed a 34 yard chip shot as time expired that would have won the game for them.
