Drew Brees Returns to New Orleans

Drew Brees Returns

Drew Brees returns to the New Orleans Saints. Drew bypasses the idea of retirement which has been floating around for the last year but Sean has confirmed that 2021 will be his last year. Drew also had rumors floating around about the possibility joining the broadcast booth in 2020. Luckily we will get to see him in the booth instead.

Brees should command one of the highest paying contracts at the quarterback position, and probably still could because he plays at high level even at his age. He has agreed to a 2 year $50 million contract.

Surprisingly this contract allows the New Orleans Saints flexibility to make more moves as free agency continues. This money will go towards resigning our own free agents, or paying for another big name player like an Emmanuel Sanders.

The team appears to be making moves that look like they are making another Superbowl attempt. Drew definitely understands that teamwork wins game as opposed to a single player.

The next player New Orleans Saints can obtain this off-season is still to be determined. It is still early in free agency. Keep your eyes peeled as Section 600 keep you updated as the news comes to be.
