New England Patriots at Kansas City Chiefs
The Patrick Mahomes train has reminded me of the Dan Marino run where he took the NFL by storm, went to a Super Bowl once and never returned there. They have been the best AFC team all year, but in comes Tom Brady and the Patriots. The Chiefs are the favorite and the Patriots were 3-5 on the road this year so there is only one answer. I picked New England pre season and I have to stick with it.
Patriots 33-30..On the 28 to 3 land.
LA Rams at New Orleans Saints
The Rams come to the dome to steal the Saints’ trip to Atlanta in early February. Sean McVay and Jared Goff have never played a road playoff game, much less with the lunatics that will be in attendance Sunday. Goff has been average on the road this season with a TD/Int ratio of 10/9, Brees at home on the other hand was at 21/1. I think the Saints play better than last week, especially early, and the crowd will be a significant factor. Goff will make a mistake or two and New Orleans will capitalize and win a close one.
Saints Win 27-24 on a last minute Lutz field goal.
