Each team sometimes surprises with a small school prospect. New Orleans throw their hat in the fire this year. Jeremy Chinn may have more questions to answer in regards to competition played, but at the end of the day football is football. He gets the Swiss Army Knife tag because he could be the Taysom Hill of the defense.

24 – New Orleans Saints – Jeremy Chinn – S – Southern Illinois

Jeremy Chinn is big enough go play weakside linebacker. He is athletic enough to play safety, nickel corner back, even on the outside as a press corner on occasion.

Chinn’s combine visit has him weighing in at 221 lbs. and 6’3” tall. He ran a 4.45 40-yard dash. Chinn was literally jumping out the gym with a 41 inch vertical. He had three or more interceptions per year in college plus 4 forced fumbles in 2017. Jeremy Chinn is a player that is always around the ball.

25 – Minnesota Vikings – Justin Jefferson – WR – LSU

26 – Miami Dolphins (via HOU) – Grant Delpit – S – LSU

27 – Seattle Seahawks – Lloyd Cushenberry – C – LSU

28 – Baltimore Ravens – Zach Baun – LB – Wisconsin

30 – Green Bay Packers – Laviska Shenault – WR – Colorado

31 – San Francisco 49ers – Denzel Mims – WR – Clemson

32 – Kansas City Chiefs – Kristian Fulton – CB – LSU

Who knows how great Jeremy Chinn could become with NFL coaching. His position versatility will help a team maximize roster efficiency, something that the Saints are constantly looking to improve. New Orleans is in position to pick best player available, and why not get three players in one.

For those hoping for Isaiah Simmons, The Saints would need to spend a large amount of draft capital to obtain him being that he is a top-five prospect. Jeremy Chinn is the next best thing and he is flying under the radar.
