For anyone that knows me they know that my three favorite non-human things in the world are football, theater, and Madden video games. So this is a fantastic opportunity for me to blend two of those passions. I’m a PS4 user so I just got my hands on my Madden 18 G.O.A.T.* edition. And with my first order of business, I went straight to Franchise mode and simulated a season with the New Orleans Saints. Below are the results of that simulation and how the rookies faired. We’ll revisit at the end of the seasons to see what Madden got right.
* – Because not Brees
Things to know
I did not disable injuries. I wanted it to be a little more of a simulation, which was terrifying because we all know Madden gets a little ridiculous about injuries.
I made sure that every player was at a reasonable roster spot. I didn’t just go through and start all the rooks.
The results below are for only the regular season games. I simulated to Midseason first, and then to the Playoffs.
