Last week I went a horrible 2-2 on my Wildcard predictions, but 4-0 against the spread, which is much harder to pull off. This weekend the real pressure begins for Whodat Nation as the Eagles come to the big easy to take on the Saints. Truth be told the defending champs coming in town are a cause for concern and it will not be a 41 point beat down this Sunday. Let’s go through the four games in the divisional round of the playoffs this weekend.
Indianapolis Colts at Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs are a great team with a great home field advantage, but it takes more than that to defeat Captain Luck’s battle tested men. Kansas City led the league in offense and was near the bottom in defense. The thing about the Chiefs’ defense is it’s very opportunistic, they tied for the league lead in sacks and led all in forced fumbles. Should be a shootout.
Chiefs 33-30
Dallas Cowboys at LA Rams
I can see a case for either of these teams winning and I think it goes down to the last few minutes. The Rams don’t have a home field advantage so it comes down to who makes more big plays and avoids mistakes. The Cowboys should lean on Elliot to keep the explosive Ram offense off the field, they do but fall short…Or do they? Honestly I have no idea but I’m going with the better head coach and home team, sort of.
Rams 27-24
LA Chargers at New England Patriots
The Chargers have a more talented team but they almost gave the game away last week this is a different animal. Tom Brady wins the games he’s supposed to at home, could be an overtime situation but..
Patriots 30-27
Philadelphia Eagles at New Orleans Saints
The defending champs come to the Superdome and take on the Saints this Sunday. The Saints’ offensive line will be the healthiest it has been in awhile and will need to be at it’s best battling a great Eagle defensive front 4. Nick Foles is a Super Bowl MVP and 4-1 all time in the playoffs, that 1 loss was New Orleans in Philadelphia about 4 years ago. The Saints offense has struggled since that 48-7 evisceration the previous meeting of these teams, but this game will much more competitive. I think the black and gold offense starts to click just in time and the dome rocks.
Saints 30-23.
