The New Orleans Saints offensive line has been selected as the Built Ford Tough Offensive Line of the Week. The unit includes LT Terron Armstead, LG Andrus Peat, C Max Unger, RG Larry Warford, RT Ryan Ramcyzk, and this week’s sixth-man of the week OL Jermon Bushrod.
In week 10, the O-Line paved the way for 244 team rushing yards including 104 from Mark Ingram and 56 and 2 touchdowns from Alvin Kamara. The also kept Brees clean, not giving up a single sack all game (they’ve only given up one in the last four) and allowing only 5 pressure against a Cincinnati defensive line populated by Geno Atkins and Carlos Dunlap. Brees went on to pass for 265 yards and 3 touchdowns behind the boys up front.

All of this while having lost Terron Armstead early in the first half, replaced by Jermon Bushrod who was playing with an incredible inspiration following the loss of his daughter.
NFL Network and Pro Football Focus’s Shaun O’Hara compiles the list of the Built Ford Tough Offensive Lines and had this to say about the Saints unit, via the Steinlight Media press release.
“The Saints boast one of the most consistent offensive lines, especially when it comes to protecting their veteran quarterback,” said O’Hara. “The unit has allowed just nine sacks all season, fewest in the NFL, with right tackle Ryan Ramczyk leading the way Sunday and having the best performance of the group. The Saints once again showed their depth when left tackle Terron Armstead went down after 24 snaps with a shoulder injury. Veteran Jermon Bushrod didn’t miss a beat when filling in. He didn’t allow a sack or quarterback hit in 51 snaps.”
In addition to only allowing 9 sacks all season, they’ve also only allowed 28 QB hits which is also fewest in the league.
